Ruben, who learned from his brother, began teaching Libby, his wife, almost 10 years ago. They work and inspire together in collaboration, creating beautiful macrame jewelry all knotted and set by hand.

Ellen Smith is founder and creator of Bella Smith Designs. Ellen has had a fabulous career in luxury brand retail, whether she was coordinating wardrobes or designing unique interior spaces, she realized her passion for creating beautiful things. After enjoying a year of early retirement, Ellen was in the market for her next big thing. She spotted an interesting leather fringe necklace and said “Hey, I could do that!” She wasn’t aware of the journey that was about to start. Ellen dove into research, watching videos and asking anyone with jewelry knowledge lots of questions. Thus, the leather fringe pieces and beautiful gemstone beaded necklaces were born. She is influenced by European Classic design blended with whimsy. Bella Smith Designs are unique and each piece is a one-of-a-kind, handmade and designed with Ellen’s artistic vision.
