Melissa Tyson Designs

Jewelry designer, Melissa Tyson is a Wilmington-based Goldsmith, wife, and mother. Specializing in engagement and wedding rings, she credits creating jewelry as a constant journey of joyful exploration throughout her 20-year career.  Melissa studied Metalsmithing at East Carolina University and Montana State University where she learned from accomplished blacksmiths, swordsmiths, and lapidary artists, and ultimately, she received a BFA in Metal Design. After college, Melissa took part in several apprenticeships, most notably with renowned Italian goldsmith Lisa Sotilis, owner of DeChirico’s Sculpture Collection.

Melissa’s jewelry has been featured in Vogue, Brides, and The Knot, as well as local North Carolina publications. Most recently, her jewelry line debuted in Paris Fashion Week in September 2023 and will be featured in Milan Fashion Week in February 2024.
