Melissa Tyson Designs
Melissa a wife, mother and a Goldsmith jewelry designer here locally in Wilmington. Creating jewelry is a constant journey of joyful exploration.
She studied Metalsmithing at East Carolina University and Montana State University. In Italy, she had various apprenticeships with famous Italian Goldsmith Lisa Sotilis, who owns DeChirico's Sculpture Collection. In Montana, she learned with blacksmiths, swordsmiths, and lapidary artists. Ultimately, Melissa received a BFA in Metal Design.
Melissa has been in business and happily making jewelry for the last 20 years. She has been featured in publications like Vogue, Brides, and The Knot, as well as at Paris Fashion Week.
